All images were taken in Butler county at the intersection of county roads 45 and X.
Image 1 is the wall cloud with some of its many funnels. View is directly west.
Images 2, 3 and 4 show the wall cloud as it begins to take the mothership look. Also note the clear slot clearly coming into view. View is now slightly north of direct west.
Images 5 and 6 are close ups of the lowest portion of the wall cloud where we were anxiously awaiting a tornado to form.
Image 7 shows the clear slot well formed dead ahead and the RFD burst can be seen hitting the ground to the right of the tree which is on the leftmost side of the picture. Click on the picture to see a larger version
The last two images were taken with a heavy light filter. The reason you might ask? It appeared as if a tornado formed in the rain curtain at the base of the wall cloud. It was quite hard to see with the naked eye, so I zoomed in and snapped a couple of shots. I've looked at the pictures and still can't decide, though I tend to lean towards them showing a heavier rain shaft within the curtain. I've put arrows in the picture under the area in question.
