The following images are of the well defined shelf cloud that this storm produced. The images are looking west northwest towards Cedar Bluffs, about 5 miles east southeast of Cedar Bluffs.
The first image shows a bolt of lightning extending from the shelf cloud. The rain shaft is located just to the right of the clearing on the left. This rain free area is where the wall cloud eventually formed.
The second image is a darkened closeup of the rainshaft in front of the developing wall cloud.
The third image is a darkened image of the supercell's rotating base and the well defined shelf cloud.
Please note that the greenish hue to the sky in the last two images is caused by our manipulation of the images so that it is easier for you to see what is in the image.
