The first three images on this page are of the crown of a supercell north of Spiker Nebraska, looking up ;-) ha ha. It produced a lot of magnificent lightning as well, see lightning gallery.
The 4th image is of a roll cloud, sometimes mistaken as a tornado. It was taken about 12 miles south of Martinsburg Nebraska in advance of a storm which spawned a weak tornado, see Martinsburg June 5, 1999.
The 5th image is of people taking shelter under an overpass on eastbound I-680 during a large fatal tornado which struck the Logan Iowa area. We actually filmed the storm which they are taking shelter for from its inception, however, a HUGE MAP FLAW indicated a bridge where one wasn't, preventing us from keeping pace with storm. We backtracked about 10 miles, at which time my 6th sense kicked in telling me that it was doing its worse at that moment. Sure enough, it did and by the time we caught up with it again the tornado was disappearing into oblivion.
The final image is of a weak funnel spawned by a storm near Mead Nebraska which did produce a tornado, see Mead June 9th, 1999.
