Images 1-3 are miscellaneous pictures. Image
number 1 is of a racoon darting in front of the chase vehicle and image 2 is of a Platte
County Sherriff warning motorists of lowland flooding. Both were taken as we headed
north in Platte county. Image 3 was taken on the western outskirts of North Bend as
we headed west on Highway 30 toward the storm. Images 4-11 are pictures of the wall cloud and some of the 30+ funnels which dipped in and out of it. Image 12 is of the large tornado which hit Monroe and moved just northwest of Columbus. It was only visible when backlit by lightning. So that it is easier to pick out, I have placed a red square around it. Images 13 and 14 are of the second tornado which we were able to capture in East Central Platte County. Story Page |
